Truck Steering Services carries exchange steering gears in stock to suit most heavy trucks and buses. If a unit is not in stock, we can likely source suitable units or alternatives. We also stock power steering pumps, drag links, tie rods and tie rod ends, drop arms, stub axles, front steer I-beams, and upper and lower steering arms to suit most American and European heavy commercial vehicles.
All exchange steering gears are rebuilt using genuine components, with all units bench tested and all major components crack tested. Truck Steering Services is also the sole ZF Friedrichshafen AG heavy commercial steering systems service and repair dealer in New Zealand.
At Truck Steering Services, we specialise in hard-to-find steering faults where vehicles develop unusual steering issues while driving. Give us a call and we will assist in getting your heavy vehicle steering back in the right direction.
We also offer a mobile fault diagnosis and repair service, where a technician can travel to the vehicle and help get you back on the road sooner. This service operates both as a breakdown service and as a pre-booked onsite fitting service for exchange steering gears.

We also offer a supply and fit service. If required, we can arrange for your vehicle to be picked up and delivered back to you once the work is completed (depending on location).
Turn around time…
Typically, we offer a 24–48 hour turnaround for repairs to your existing units. If we have an exchange unit available, turnaround times may be reduced accordingly. Before placing an order, we recommend contacting us so we can advise of any potential complications that may affect turnaround times.
Our staff are fully trained and experienced in solving a wide range of power steering problems, whether it involves leaking power steering pumps, exchanging old steering racks or steering boxes, or fitting new or reconditioned units. We carry a large range of power steering components in stock for most heavy vehicle makes, and our product range continues to expand.
We also carry out repairs on power steering boxes, power steering pumps, drag links, tie rods, and front steer axles.
